Student Success

Rebecca Todd

Rebecca-Todd

At the age of three I started Ballet classes at Saldance, under the tuition of Miss Sally, the founder of the school. Saldance soon became my second home and a huge part of my life. Inspiring my love of dance, I also took up classes in Freestyle and Tap.

Because of the high standard of tuition, support and commitment the teachers of Saldance provide, I achieved very good marks in all of my exams and successfully progressed through the grades. I also enjoyed performing in the production shows and showcasing the school’s success in community displays.

The passion and drive that Saldance offers in both teaching and performance, is what led me to study Dance and Performance at University, where I graduated with a BA (Hons) Degree.

I decided to continue my professional development by taking my I.D.T.A Teaching Exams. I was welcomed back to Saldance; where I spent a year studying under the guidance of Nicola, and working alongside the teachers. I am proud to say I gained Distinctions in both my Ballet and Freestyle Associates, which I couldn’t have achieved without their help!

I am grateful for my years at Saldance, which has equipped me with skills and knowledge to pursue a career in the dance industry.  I am lucky that I have had the opportunities to build a portfolio career both performing and teaching across the UK and abroad. I know that wherever my career may take me, I will always have a family back at Saldance!

Thank You: Sally, Nicola, Kym and Rhoda!
