Alicia Furneaux

The first time I ever stepped into Saldance I felt so welcome and knew straight away I would love it there and love it I did. I took many exams during my time there and passed them all with very good marks, I also had the opportunity to perform in some fabulous shows and summer schools. I also did my work experience at Saldance and teaching is now something I would like to do when I am older.

The staff have taught me so much and I will be forever grateful for all they have done for me. Sadly I am no longer at Saldance, after completing my Intermediate exams at performer level I auditioned for Bodywork Performing Arts College in Cambridge and was awarded a full scholarship for their 3 year course in professional dance.

My time at Saldance helped me decide what I wanted to do with my life and if I really wanted to take dance as a career. If it hadn’t been for them I wouldn’t be where I am today.

Alicia is now a dancer for Princess cruises.
