Anya Preston

I moved to Saldance when I was 8 years old and instantly felt at home. The welcoming environment and supportive, friendly teachers quickly felt like family as I met so many incredible people. I began to improve my Tap and reach levels I never thought possible, providing me with newfound confidence and leading me to try ballet. Despite not being particularly graceful, I loved every minute of each class and learned so many disciplines that have shaped me as an individual. From numerous exam preparations, medal awards, and showcases, dance became my favourite part of each week, since I knew I could be myself, have a laugh with everyone, and continue to grow as a performer.

These past 9 years have taught me so much about myself and inspired me to pursue a career in the arts, where I go on to study Acting at the ArtsEd school in London. I am both extremely excited for the future and forever grateful for the love, professionalism, and kindness Saldance showed me. Without them, I would never have had the confidence to chase my dream and take this next big step. Thank you so much for everything!
